Winter Travel in Bhutan

We are now at the tail end of winter here and the tell tale signs of spring are slowly emerging. The onset of the spring also heralds the beginning of the proverbial travel season and with it many outdoor activities.

With the winter season soon bidding us goodbye until the next meeting, I have been reminiscing about how equally fun, forgiving and sublime winter can be for travel in the bhutan himalayas. Over the course of this winter we have successfully completed a variety of activities ranging from photo tours, bird watching, cycling, hiking, winter trekking, cultural exploration and festivals.

The minimal people traffic, beautiful light, panorama of the himalayas, ambient daytime temperatures and the laidback pace of life are just few of the reasons that makes travelling so much fun and warm during our winter.
