Himalayan Luxury in Bhutan
We’re very proud to be featured in the UK magazine “Food and Travel” for Feb/Mar 2020, and what a marvellous publication it was for our country. Bhutan can now be recognised as a destination of immense peace and harmony, not only in the temples and Dzongs but at the five-star hotels and resorts as well.
Luxury is a relatively new arrival to Bhutan. For decades the standard of accommodation centred around the affordable end of the market, but that has truly changed. There are magnificent properties to enjoy now from Thimphu to Bumthang and everywhere in between.
Some of our guests have enjoyed staying with familiar brands such as Aman, Como, Six Senses and Le Meridien. Others have been pleasantly surprised with our lesser known gems that are not part of a larger brand such as the &Beyond River Lodge, Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary and the Pemako.
Luxury in Bhutan is expensive compared to other parts of the world. We recognise this. For some travellers however the price is less important than the experience. If you have a read of the article in “Food & Travel” you may get some insight into why that experience is so unique.
